A visual spoiler is a collection of images that share a common theme.  In this case, you will find all of the card images for the creature type Wolf.  The images are typically sorted by color and then (hopefully) alphabetically by name.  You can find all of the images below this introduction.

Creature Visual Spoilers are an excellent resource if you are looking to build a tribal deck.  Pure casual (non-Magic Online) tribal decks are decks that have sixteen or more cards of the same creature type. Tribal Wars, a casual Magic Online format, requires that one third of the deck be of the same creature type with a minimum of sixty cards.

If you have any Tribal Decks you would like to see added to the database, be sure to post your deck in the Casual Deck Forum with "[TRIBAL]" in the title.  Note that only unique decks and decks that aren't already in the MDV Deck Database are chosen.  MDV's Tribal Decks can be found here.

This visual spoiler is also great if you are looking to complete your collection of a particular tribe.  Notice the interesting tidbits and links to the right.  If you have any additional information for this list, please email it to me.

At this time, this creature visual spoiler does not include fictional cards, cards that interact with the tribe that aren't actually in the tribe, cards that generate tokens of this tribe, or actual tokens.  This page does, however, include applicable cards from [UN] products like Unglued and Unhinged as well as Tribal instants, sorceries and enchantments.

Interesting Tidbits and Links
  • Wyluli Wolf was printed as a common in Arabian Nights and then as a rare in fifth and sixth edition! Also interesting is the fact that it's card name is an anagram of Lily Wu, the maiden name of Richard Garfield's wife.
  • In the earlier days of Magic, there was a running joke on Usenet of a super rare card named Throat Wolf. What the card did always seemed to change, but the only constant was that it always had Firstest Strike. For many years R&D always named one card Throat Wolf in design out of a nod to that joke, and even printed Heart Wolf as a wink to the running gag.

Have an interesting fact about the tribe?  Let me know here!
