A visual spoiler is a collection of images that share a common
theme. In this case, you will find all of the card images for the
creature type Bird. The images are typically sorted by
color and then (hopefully) alphabetically by name. You can find all
of the images below this introduction.
Creature Visual Spoilers are an excellent resource if
you are looking to build a tribal deck. Pure casual (non-Magic
Online) tribal decks are decks that have sixteen or more cards of the same
creature type. Tribal Wars, a casual Magic Online format, requires that
one third of the deck be of the same creature type with a minimum of sixty
cards.
If you have any Tribal Decks you would like to see added
to the database, be sure to post your deck in the
Casual Deck Forum with "[TRIBAL]" in the
title. Note that only unique decks and decks that aren't already in
the MDV Deck Database
are chosen. MDV's Tribal Decks can be found
here.
This visual spoiler is also great if you are looking to
complete your collection of a particular tribe. Notice the
interesting tidbits and links to the right. If you have any
additional information for this list, please
email it to me.
At this time, this creature visual spoiler does not
include fictional cards, cards that interact with the tribe that aren't
actually in the tribe, cards that generate tokens of this tribe, or actual
tokens. This page does, however, include applicable
cards from [UN] products like Unglued and Unhinged as well as Tribal
instants, sorceries and enchantments.

Interesting Tidbits and Links
- Birds of Paradise, one of Magic most iconic Bird
cards, wasn't originally planned to be in Alpha. The original art
was meant for Tropical Island but because of the prominent bird in the
art, BoP was designed based on the art. Lucky us.
- In Mirage and before, there were several cards that
used Falcon as a creature type. Even Soraya the Falconer from Homelands
affected falcons. These cards including cards like Bay Falcon, Zephyr
Falcon and Duskrider Falcon are now all Birds thanks to Oracle updates.
- Hunting Moa, a green bird originally from Urza's
block, is the only Bird to in Magic that doesn't have flying. Roc
Hatchling is the only other bird without flying, but at least the
product of that card does. Note that Hunting Moa was a beast before
being Timeshifted in Time Spiral. Update: Whipporwill has just been
added to the ilst of birds without flying.
- The great Creature Type Update removed Bird Maiden
from the Birds tribe and added cards like Carrier Pigeons, Pit Raptor,
Kangee, Junk Diver and Silver Erne.
