Stonybrook
Schoolmaster - Intruder Alarm - Paradise Mantle |
  Infinite
Mana. Infinite Creatures. With all three cards in play, and the
Mantle attached to your Schoolmaster, tap the Schoolmaster to add one
mana of any color to your mana pool. His own ability will activate
and you will get a 1/1 blue Merfolk Wizard creature token. The
entry of this creature into play will activate Intruder Alarm and you
will be back at the beginning. Repeat for infinite creatures and
infinite mana. You can substitute
Paradise mantle for Ocular Halo for infinite card drawing or Drowner of
Secrets for infinite milling. You can even add Judge of Currents
for infinite life. The Merfolk seem to have infinite
possibilities... Submitted by YWN.
AlasterEisaroh, a Forum [Wizard], recommends adding
Supreme Inquisitor, Opposition or Glare of Subdual for more fun. |
 |
Weirding
Shaman - Bog Initiate - Mana Echoes |
  Infinite
creatures. Infinite Mana. Start with three Goblins
(including the Shaman), the Bog Initiate and Mana Echoes.
Sacrifice a goblin two generate two more goblins, adding 4 colorless
mana to your mana pool from Mana Echoes. Note that you have four Goblins
in play now. Use the Initiate to turn one of the colorless mana
into black mana. Now, sacrifice a Goblin token to generate two
more, using the mana you gain from the last round. Mana
Echoes will add 6 to your mana pool... and so on. Repeat for
infinite creatures and infinite mana. Submitted by YWN. |
 |
Great
Whale - Recurring Nightmare |
 Great
Whale used to untap up to seven lands whenever it came into play from
anywhere, including the graveyard. So the trick was to get it into play
using less than seven mana. With seven lands in play, a Whale in the
graveyard, any other creature in play, and a Recurring Nightmare in hand,
a loop could be created. Tap all seven, spend three to Recur the Whale
into play, untap all seven, and spend three more to Recur the Whale back
into the graveyard. Now the board is in the same state, except you've
netted one mana. Repeat. With two Whales you can pull this off with only
four land. This combo was found on and quoted from
www.magicthegathering.com.
UPDATE: 7/15/07 - The previously added
errata was removed. The combo works again! |
 |
Sneak
Attack - Palinchron |
Palinchron
has errata on it. To specify,
www.crystalkeep.com
states the following:
The errata makes it so you only untap
lands if it comes into play by being cast from your hand. It does not
untap lands if put into play as the effect of a spell or ability, even
if it is put into play from your hand. [DCI Tournament Update
1999/03/01]
The way this worked when it was
legal: With several lands out, spend one red mana to bring out
Palinchron and untap 7 lands. Spend four mana to put it back into
your hand and repeat. Assuming you have floating mana left after
the first, you will build an insane amount of controlled mana which you
can use for just about anything.
UPDATE: 7/15/07 - The previously
added errata was removed. The combo works again!

Magus
of the Coffers - Sword of the Paruns |
 Infinite
Mana... and here's how it works: Equip Magus of the Coffers with Sword of
the Paruns. You must have at least six Swamps in play. (If
this proves difficult, add Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth to the mix).
Anyway, pay two to tap and use Magus of the Coffer's ability. Add
BBBBBB to your mana pool. Now pay three mana via the Sword to untap
Magus. BBB left. Pay BB to tap Magus to add BBBBBB to your
mana pool. Repeat for infinite mana. This combo was submitted
by YWN! |
 |
Magus
of the Candelabra - Heartbeat of Spring - Freed from the Real |
 Infinite
Mana. How it works: Have all three cards in play with Freed from the
Real enchanting the Magus.
Let's assume you have four lands. Tap
four lands to add eight mana to your mana pool. At least one of this mana
needs to be blue. Untap Magus using the Aura's ability for one blue. You
now have seven mana in your mana pool. Use four mana and tap the Magus to
untap your four lands. You have three mana left. Tap you lands for eight
more mana and go on from there for infinite mana. This combo was
submitted by Luthervamplord. |
 |
Saproling
Cluster + Ashnod's Altar + Fecundity + Serra Avatar |
 Here's
an infinite mana combo for your review and use, using one of our favorite
Avatars: Serra Avatar! This combo will not only provide infinite
mana, but you will be able to draw your entire deck in one turn.
How it works: With Saproling Cluster, Ashnod's Altar and
Fecundity in play and Serra Avatar in your library, pay 1 mana to discard
a card to Saproling Cluster. Put a 1/1 green Saproling creature
token into play. Sacrifice it to the Altar and add 2 to your mana
pool. Thanks to Fecundity, draw a card. Discard a card (it
doesn't have to be the one you just drew) again to the Cluster and repeat
this process. Serra Avatar, since it shuffles into your library upon
hitting the graveyard, wil ensure you have infinite cards to draw.
Now use that mana for something exciting. |
|
Rakdos
Guildmage - Skyshroud Elf - Mana Echoes |
  These
three cards can net you infinite creatures (and mana) and here's how: With
at least three goblins in play, the guildmage and the elf, use the
guildmage's ability to generate a goblin token for 3R. Thanks to
Mana Echoes, add 4 mana to your mana pool. Convert at least one of
that colorless
mana into a red mana thanks to the Elf. Keep repeating... each time you repeat this
you get one more mana (and one more creature). The next one will be
5 mana from the echoes, then 6, then 7, etc. Luckily all of these
goblins have haste so be sure to attack for infinite damage too! |
 |
Izzet
Guildmage - Reset |
 Yes,
I know - most of you don't own a Reset. However, you can still
imagine how fun this combo is (for the person playing it). The
unfortunate thing about Reset is that you can only play it during your
opponent's turn - but I'm sure you can use your creative mind to figure
out a kill using it. The Izzet Guildmage let's you copy instants and
sorceries. That's great. For five mana, play the reset and
then copy it with the Guildmage. Let the copy resolve to untap all
of your lands. Then, copy the original Reset and you have two mana
to spare. With more lands you can generate more many faster.
Ultimately, you will net infinite mana. |
 |
Auriok
Salvagers - Black Lotus or Lion's Eye Diamond |
 This
infinite mana combo was submitted to MDV - although I don't have the email
anymore so I do not recall the submitter's name. Anyway, this is a
great combo since you know everyone owns a Black Lotus. With both
cards in play, sacrifice the Lotus and add 3 colored mana to your mana
pool (all white). Then, use the salvager's ability for 1W (leaving
W) to return the lotus to your hand. Play the lotus for zero mana
(that's right - no mana - no wonder this card is broken) and repeat for
infinite white mana. It doesn't have to be all white mana as you can
alternate between white and another color provided by the lotus.
Excuse me while I try to find my Black Lotus that I don't actually own.
Note: You could replace Lotus with Lion's Eye Diamond. |
|
Orochi
Leafcaller - Freed from the Real - Sachi, Daughter of Seshiro or
Fyndhorn Elder |
 This
combo was submitted by Martial in the forums. How it works:
Enchant your Leafcaller with Freed from the Real and have Sachi in play as
well. Tap the Leafcaller for GG (since Sachi is in play) and use the
leafcaller's ability to change one of the G mana into U. Use that U
mana to untap the Leafcaller and repeat, netting you one mana for each
time you do this. Infinite mana... Woot!
Note: You can replace Sachi with any
creature card that can tap to add two green mana to your mana pool (like
Fyndhorn Elder). |
 |
Pemmin's
Aura - Fyndhorn Elder - Orochi Leafcaller. |
This
combo was submitted by Tai Chu(?). How it works: Have both
creatures in play and have Pemmin's Aura enchanting the Fyndhorn Elder.
Tap the Elder for GG. Use the Orochi Leafcaller to replace one G
with a U (so you have UG in your mana pool). Using the Aura, untap
the Elder for U. This nets you one G. Repeat for infinite
mana. |
 |
Exploration
- Words of Wind - Gaea's Cradle - Argothian Enchantress (and/or Trade
Routes) |
 Yet
another combo submitted by JJ Stors. Let's hope I don't
butcher the description of this one. Anyway, assume you have all
pieces of the puzzle in play and 5 creatures. Tap Gaea's Cradle for
5 mana and play Exploration (4 mana left). With enchantress in play,
put the card drawing on the stack but replace it with Words of Wind and
bounce Exploration back to your hand (3 mana left). Now return
Gaea's cradle with Trade Routes (2 mana left) and play the Exploration (1
mana left). You can now play another land, so you can play Gaea's
Cradle again too. This has netted you 1 mana. Do the process
again to go infinite with mana. Thanks for the combo JJ! |
 |
Eternal
Witness - Snap (+Wild Growth / Fertile Ground) |
 This
combo was submitted by JJ Stors.
This is actually a clever infinite mana combo. You need to have two
lands enchanted with wild growths and/or fertile grounds so that between
the two they generate 6 mana (only one of which needs to be blue).
Okay.. tap your lands and cast Eternal Witness (3 mana left). Return
whatever you want in your graveyard to your hand. Now Snap her back
to your hand (1 mana left) and untap your two lands (that have the
enchantments on them). You net one mana from this. Repeat.
Get infinite mana. Thanks, JJ. |
 |
Clock
of Omens - Thran Dynamo - Staff of Domination - Urza's Contact Lenses |
 I
really don't feel like explaining this one. You can figure it out.
Here is Mark Gottlieb's description (quoted) from
Magic the Gathering dot com:
Clock of Omens + Thran Dynamo + Staff of Domination +
Urza's Contact Lenses = infinite colorless mana and blistered palms. You
can replace the Staff with another Lenses or vice versa for the same
result. |
 |
Palinchron
- Fertile Ground / Wild Growth - Gaea's Cradle or Serra Sanctum |
 This
combo was submitted by JJ Stors.
Also, this combo is very similar to the high tide/Palinchron combo already
on the infinite mana page. When Palinchron comes into play, it
untaps 7 lands with it. In order to get infinite mana, you need to
have 7 lands tap for at least 12 mana (four of which need to be blue).
You can accomplish this by having one or more of your lands be Gaea's
Cradle (with several creatures out), Serra's Sanctum (with several
enchantments out), and/or having your lands enchanted with Wild Growth,
Fertile Ground and/or Overgrowth. When you tap seven lands for 12
mana, cast Palinchron (for 5UU) and untap 7 lands. Then return the
Palinchron to your hand for 2UU. This has netted you 1 mana and you
can repeat to go infinite. Simple. Effective. It uses
more cards than High Tide / Palinchron but is easy to fit into an
enchantress deck (as JJ Stors has in his WOW Enchantress deck). |
 |
Staff
of Domination - Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary |
 Rock
on with all of the infinite combos this month. This is simple.
Have both cards in play with at least 5 forests in play. Tap your
elf Legend and add 5 green mana to your mana pool. Not spend 3 and
tap the staff to untap Rofellos and another 1 to untap the staff.
This nets you 1 mana and repeat for infinite mana. Cool. A two
card infinite mana combo. You don't see too many of those any more.
Mind you, you can replace Rofellos with any creature that can produce 5 or
more mana.
|
 |
Forbidden Orchard - Living
Terrain - Intruder Alarm |

The revised description: (thanks to Sam S-P for
the input on this combo as it was submitted and finding the error in it).
Going infinite is simple. With Intruder Alarm
and Forbidden Orchard in play, echant your orchard with Living Terrain.
Now tap your Orchard for a mana and put a creature into play on your
opponent side of the table. Because of the Alarm, all creatures
untap (including your Orchard) and you can repeat until your infinite.
Note: Living Terrain can be substituted for any card that can animate a
land for at least a turn. |
 |
Natural
Emergence - Aggravated Assault |
This
infinity mana combo was submitted by Nick F. How often do you get a two
card infinite possible combo now a days? Not too often.
However, this one works as long as you have at least six lands in
play. With the gating enchantment in play, all of your lands
(six+) are creatures. You can tap all six to add 6 mana to your
mana pool only to activate the aggravated assault and untap all of your
creatures. You have one mana left so just repeat the previous step
and you will net infinite mana in no time. Thanks for the combo
Nick! |
 |
Aphetto
Alchemist / Karn, Silver Golem - Isochron Scepter - Vitalize
submitted by
Unna Nego |
 INFINITY
COMBO: When Isochron Scepter comes into play you imprint Vitalize on
it. As long as you have several creatures that can produce at least
3+ mana and the Aphetto Alchemist, you can achieve infinite mana.
Use the Alchemist to untap the Scepter and then Vitalize your creatures
and tap to produce mana and so on and so forth... Fun little
combo. Isochron Scepter is broken, if you ask me. You can
click on the Infinite Deck button to go to the infinite decks but right
now there isn't a deck for this one. It's kind of tough to pull
off. |
 |
Gilded
Lotus - Aphetto Alchemist/Synod
Artificer - Pemmin's Aura |
How
it works: Tap the Lotus for UUU.
With your Alchemist enchanted with Pemmin's Aura, tap him to untap the
Lotus. Tap that again for another 3 blue, netting you UUUUUU
so far. Use one of those mana to untap the Alchemist and repeat
the cycle. To infinity and beyond!!!
Note: Synod Artificer could replace
the Aphetto Alchemist or you could replace the wizard altogether and find a
way to animate the Lotus into a creature so that the "I am
Superman" enchant creature can enchant the Lotus. Also, if
you want a cheap alternative to the lotus, try enchanting an artifact
land with Dawn's Reflection. It does the same thing.
|
 |
Staff
of Domination - Metalworker or Priest of Titania |
 The
staff plus any creature that is capable of producing five or more mana
can send you off into infinity land. What's nice about the staff
is that it can give endless life and endless cards too. Creatures
that can produce more than five mana often include those pictures to the
right. This is, of course, not all of them. This combo was
provided by Nichlemn
on Aneximines's
Infinity combo thread found here. |
 |
Krark-Clan
Ironworks - Myr Retriever (2) - Genesis Chamber |
 Another
combo found on Aneximines's Infinity combo thread, provided by Nichlemm.
With a Myr Retriever in your graveyard and one in play along side the
Ironworks and the Chamber, sacrifice the Retriever to the
Ironworks. Add 2 to
your mana pool. Then when the Retriever goes to your graveyard,
return the other Retriever to your hand. Cast it with that 2
mana and put a 1/1 Myr artifact creature token into play.
Sacrifice the token and the Myr Retriever to add 4
to your manapool. Keep repeating this for endless tokens and
mana. A big Thanks to Aneximines's infinity thread on the www.wizards.com
message boards. |
 |
Eternal
Witness - Second Sunrise - Squandered Resources |
You
can replace the Squandered Resources with another card just as long as
your can generate at least 2WW mana each time. You will also need
another card to sacrifice the Witness. With this set of cards, do
it like this. Sacrifice a bunch of lands to the Resources and
the Witness to something else. Make sure to sacrifice enough lands
to repeat the combo (at least 2WW). Then cast Second Sunrise and
return all of those sacrificed permanents to play. When Eternal
Witness comes into play, return the Second Sunrise from your graveyard
to your hand and repeat. Thanks to Nichlemm on this one. |
 |
Voltaic
Construct - Metalworker or (Gilded Lotus w/ March of the Machines) |
 The
hottest new "infinite" mana engine is this one. Mentioned by
numerous people in email and on the net. As long as you have two artifacts in hand, you can keep
using the Metalworker to activate the Construct to untap the metalworker
and do it again. There are a number of other cards you have to
make use of the mana, but card drawing like Stroke of Genius are optimal
since they let you reach "infinity" quicker. Viridian
Longbow is also an excellent way to provide the kill.
Gilded Lotus also
performs the same function with the Construct if you have March of the
Machines in play.
|
 |
Pemmin's Aura -
Wirewood Channeler or Argothian Elder |
Assuming you have some other elves in play you can enchant
the Channeler with the Aura and watch the mana fly. Combine this
with Upwelling and you can wait all game until you get that Stream of
Life or Fireball from your library to cast. However Wizards
managed to print this card without toning it down ALOT... is beyond me. It
will be fun for a while until they ban it. Have fun with it
while you can.
While the first two cards are T2
Legal right now, Argothian Elder from Urza's Saga performs the same
function. You can untap two lands, one which needs to produce blue
mana, and use that to untap the Elder again and repeat for
"infinite" mana. Also, Ley Druid and Fertile Ground
could replace either the Elder or Channeler for the same effect.
|
 |
Wirewood Lodge - Argothian
Elder or Krosan Restorer - Fertile Ground |
How
it works: With all cards in play, tap the Wirewood lodge and another
land enchanted with the Fertile Growth. Untap the two lands with
the Elder and then, use one green mana to activate the Lodge and untap
your Elder (which is an elf). Then repeat this
process.
You can substitute the Elder for a
Krosan Restorer at threshold with Seeker of Skybreak. The seeker
is there to target from the Lodge, since the Restorer isn't an elf.
You can replace Fertile Ground with
any of the following: Wild Growth, Overgrowth, Elvish Guidance, Overlaid Terrain, Extraplanar Lens, Mana Flare, or
Mirari's Wake.
Another variation of this combo uses
two Wirewood Lodges, a Priest of Titania, an Argothian Elder and another
elf to give the Titania Priest 3 mana when tapped.
|
 |
2
Myr
Retriever - Ashnod's Altar |
How
it's works: With one Myr in play and the other in the graveyard,
sacrifice the one in play for two mana with the Altar. Then return
the myr that was in your graveyard already back to your hand. With
the two mana you generated with the Altar recast the Myr. You can
repeat this until your blue in the face and it won't generate any
mana. You can add Scrap heap or Disciple of the Vault for
"infinite" life or life loss to an opponent.
If you want to reach an
"infinite" mana pool, add one of the following cards: Helm of
Awakening, Tangleroot, Urza's Incubator (with the Incubator you could use a Phyrexian Altar).
|
 |
Worldgorger
Dragon - Animate Dead |
First the Worldgorger Dragon needs to be in your graveyard (via Careful Study, Entomb, Buried Alive, or other such cards). Play Animate Dead, which turns into a local enchantment that pulls target creature out of any graveyard into play (meaning the Dragon). The Dragon comes into play, and summarily removes all of your other permanents from the game, including the Animate Dead and whatever lands (or Moxes) you have in play.
When Animate Dead leaves play, however, the creature it was enchanting is destroyed. The Dragon dies. And when the Dragon leaves play, all the permanents it had removed come back into play, including your lands (untapped), and the Animate Dead. Animate Dead pulls the Dragon back out of the graveyard, its comes-into-play ability triggers--at which point you can tap your lands for mana and then everything but the Dragon is removed from the game… again. Repeat. You net an amount of mana per cycle equal to what your mana sources can produce.
This combo was found
on and quoted from www.magicthegathering.com. |
 |
Saproling
Cluster - Ashnod's Altar - Fecundity |
 How
it works: With all three cards in play, pay 1 and discard a card to
Saproling Cluster, creating a Saproling token. Sacrifice the token to
Ashnod's Altar for two mana, which triggers Fecundity (tokens go to the
graveyard). Draw a card for Fecundity, and now you are back where you
started and have netted one colorless mana. You can repeat this until
your library runs out of cards. You are digging through your deck as you
generate mana, so you'll have no problem finding a kill card. This
combo was found on and quoted from www.magicthegathering.com. |
 |
Yawgmoth's
Bargain - Skirge Familiar - Confessor |
How it works: The Bargain lets you pay one life to draw one card. The Skirge lets you discard one card to get one black mana. Simple. One life = one black mana. Harkens back to Channel. No, it isn't
"infinite", but it generates enough mana to kill the opponent in one turn.
This combo was found on and quoted from www.magicthegathering.com.
In addition, you can add confessor
to contradict the 1 life loss from the Bargain.
|
 |
Aggravated
Assault - Mana Producers (6 mana minimum) |
 Aggravated
Assault was made, I think, to be abused by M:tG players. With
plenty of mana producers you can reuse the Aggravated Assault over and
over again. In order to do this you have to produce at least 6 mana
from the creatures you are using.
Green mana creatures include Argothian Elder, Birds of Paradise, Birchlore Rangers, Citanul Hierophants, Elves of Deep Shadow, Elvish Aberration, Fyndhorn Elder, Fyndhorn Elves, Harvester Druid, Heart Warden, Juniper Order Druid, Krosan Restorer, Ley Druid, Llanowar Elves, Nantuko Elder, Priest of Titania, Quirion Elves, Quirion Explorer, Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary, Seton, Krosan Protector, Skyshroud Elf, Skyshroud Troopers, Urborg Elf, Utopia Tree, Vine Trellis, Werebear, Wirewood Channeler, and Wirewood Elf.
There's also Copper Myr, Gold Myr, Silver Myr, Leaden Myr, Iron Myr, Apprentice Wizard, Llanowar Dead, Lotus Guardian, Manakin, Metalworker, Millikin (problematic), Princess Lucrezia, Riven Turnbull, Sea Scryer, Sisters of the Flame, Vedalken Engineer, Krark-Clan Stoker and Sunastian Falconer.
(Lists of creatures were quoted from here).
|
 |
Dross
Scorpion - Cathodian - Skeleton Shard - Ashnod's Altar - Bog Initiate |
How
it works: With all cards in play, Sac the Cathodian to the Altar. Add
5 to your mana pool since you
get 2 from the Altar and 3
from the Cathodian hitting the graveyard. Convert 1
to B with the Bog Initiate
and tap the Shard to return the Cathodian to your hand. Cast the
Cathodian again. After paying the casting cost for Cathodian you
are left with 1 in your mana
pool. Repeat the first part, but wait...
How can you untap your Shard to
reach "infinite" mana? The answer is found in the Dross Scorpion.
Since an artifact went to the graveyard you can untap an artifact (the
shard). Untap the Skeleton Shard and continue. Before you
know it you have enough to fuel a mighty Blaze or a new Consume
Spirit. You can click on the "infinite" Deck button to go to the "infinite" decks but right now there isn't a deck for this one. It's
kind of tough to pull off.
Notes: Su Chi or any 0 casting artifact creature can replace Cathodion. Also, Initiates of the Ebon Hand can replace the Bog Initiate.
|

 |
Decaying
Soil - Cloud of Faeries
|
How
it works: This
is an "infinity" combo with limited potential. You have to have
threshold for this to work, and with the decaying soils 'remove a card
from your graveyard from the game' it is difficult to keep this combo
up. In order for this combo to work, you will need a land card
that can produce more than one mana and a card that will allow you to
sac your faeries. Once these are all established, sac the faeries
(while you have threshold) and return it to your hand with the decaying
soil ability. Tap two lands that can produce at least four mana
total (for instance, an island with overgrowth and a Soldevi excavation)
and cast your faeries. Untap the two lands (with in this case 2
mana floating) and sac the faeries again to repeat for "infinite"
mana. With Soul Net you could gain "infinite" life. I would
suggest Carrion Feeder or Nantuko Husk as the catalyst that sacs the
faeries. |
 |
Endless
Cockroaches - Aluren - Altar of Dementia or Phyrexian Altar |
 How
it works: This
is an "infinity" combo that could deck your
opponent with Altar of Dementia or net your "infinite" mana with Ashnod's
Altar or Phyrexian Altar. When the Endless Cockroaches is put into
a graveyard from play it goes back into your hand. With Aluren,
you can cast it for free and sack it again.. and again.. and again until
you win. Not bad for a 1/1 recursive creature from Portal!
This combo was submitted by Skullkid. |
 |
2
Reap
- Dark Ritual - Lotus Petal |
 You
need one swamp in play, and your opponents have to be kind enough to
provide three black permanents for you. One Reap can be in your
graveyard. (If it's not, the first Reap is for two cards instead of
three.) You sack the Lotus Petal for green and tap your swamp to play
Dark Ritual (GBBB
in your pool). Play Reap for three (BB).
Bring back Dark Ritual, Lotus Petal, and the Reap that was already in
the graveyard. (The Reap you're playing is not in the graveyard until
after the spell resolves, so you can't target it.) Use one of your
stored B
to play Dark Ritual (BBBB).
Play and sack the Lotus Petal for green (GBBBB).
Play Reap . . . and so on. This
combo was found on and quoted from www.magicthegathering.com. |
 |
Mortuary
- Fecundity |
This
combo was originally found on the Wizard's message boards posted by
Aneximines (who mind you has an awesome thread on EVERY infinity combo
that exists!!)... anyway, this is a great way to Raise Dead any creature
that goes to the graveyard. Since your enchantments work well
together, the minute your, say, Llanowar Elves, goes to the graveyard,
your fecundity lets you draw it. This is because Mortuary puts any
creature you put into your graveyard from play back on top of your
library. Also, in combination with Phyrexian Altar or Ashnod's
Altar, you can get infinite mana. |
 |
Ashnod's
Altar - Enduring Renewal - Shield Sphere |
 This
one's easy to explain. Start with all three permanents on the board.
Sack the Sphere to the Altar, Renewal sends it back to your (revealed)
hand, and you cast it again. Repeat until you feel all dizzy and floppy inside.
This combo was found on and quoted from www.magicthegathering.com.This combo also works with Goblin
Bombardment instead of the Altar. And, you can replace the
Enduring Renewal with the Fecundity - Mortuary combo. Also,
The following works similar to this combo using the Renewal: Enduring Renewal - Aluren - 3cc creature - mana altar (or a creature that you can sacrifice for mana like Blood Pet, Blood Vassal, Morgue Toad, or Tinder Wall). |
 |
Verdant
Succession - Nantuko Tracer - Phyrexian Altar |
 How
it works: Nantuko tracer is a great card.. especially since you can use
another copy of him (found with the Verdant Succession) to shuffle the
Tracer back into your library and then sack him to the Alter (Phyrexian
or Ashnod's) to produce mana. Since verdant Succession activates
when the Tracer goes to the graveyard.. you can do this all in one turn.
Also, you could replace the 2 Nantuko
Tracers with 1 Elvish Soultiller.
|
|
Tolarian
Academy - Capsize - Candelabra of Tawnos
Courtesy of www.magicthegathering.com
(description quoted) |
How it works: You need to have an ample number of artifacts in play, including the Candelabra of Tawnos, so that the Tolarian Academy taps for at least nine mana. Spend one of that mana to activate the Candelabra for one, untapping the Academy. Spend six more mana to play Capsize with buyback on the Candelabra, and then replay it for 1. The board is now back to where it was before, except you've netted at least one blue mana. |
 |
Power
Artifact - Grim Monolith
Courtesy of www.magicthegathering.com
(description quoted) |
How it works: This one is as easy as they get. Power Artifact reduces the cost to untap Grim Monolith from to . And because the Monolith produces three mana when tapped, it can pay to untap itself, netting one mana per cycle.
This combo was found
on and quoted from www.magicthegathering.com.
Note: This concept will work with
Basalt Monolith as long as you use another source to filter the mana due
to it's errata. Cards like Initiates of the Ebon Hand, Skyshroud
Elf or Bog Initiates work well for doing that.
|
 |
Tolarian
Academy - Mind Over Matter |
 How
it works: Again, you need several artifacts in play to power the
Academy. Mind over Matter is an enchantment that allows you to discard a
card to tap or untap a permanent. So you tap the Academy for a large
amount of mana, and then untap it by discarding a card. Repeat until you
have tons of mana and just one card remaining in your hand, which should
be some way to "refill," like Windfall, Time Spiral, or Stroke
of Genius. Continue until you have enough mana to play the coup de
grace. This combo isn't technically "infinite", as you eventually run out
of Time Spirals, but several hundred mana is usually plenty. This
combo was found on and quoted from www.magicthegathering.com.
Also, if you want to make sure you
can reach infinity with this one you have to find a way to draw cards
and not run out of cards in your library. Having at least five
artifacts in play (so the Academy will generate 5 mana), Treasure Trove
and something similar to Legacy Weapon will achieve this goal.
|
 |
High
Tide - Palinchron |
How it works: High Tide increases the mana production of each island in play by , and its effects are cumulative. Palinchron costs seven mana to play, but it untaps seven land when it comes into play. So with one High Tide resolved, seven islands can be tapped for 14 mana, seven of which would pay for
Palinchron, leaving seven mana floating and all your lands untapped. The kicker? Palinchron can be returned to your hand for , meaning a loop of "play it, return it" can be created with three mana per cycle to spare. Frantic Search, Turnabout, and Time Spiral perform similar antics with High Tide until Palinchron shows up.

Living
Death - Anarchist - Phyrexian Plaguelord - Cathodian - 2 Blood Vassals |
This
combo was found on and quoted from www.magicthegathering.com.
As part of Living Death's
resolution, Anarchist comes into play. By the time the Anarchist's
comes-into-play ability goes on the stack, Living Death will be
completely resolved and in your graveyard. Return it to your hand. You
still have BB
left, and can now restart the cycle, gaining BB
each time for as many times as you care to do it. |

Krosan
Restorer - Mirari's Wake - Telekinetic Bonds |
 How
it works: Assuming you have threshold, Mirari's Wake and Telekinetic
Bonds in play (this is a toughie)... you can untap three lands with the
Krosan Restorer and use Telekinetic Bonds to untap the Restorer when you
discard a card.. obviously you will want cards like Compulsion in the
mix... Since you have the Wake in play, you get 6 mana total from
untapping three lands.. you have to spend 2 for the untap ability and 2
for Compulsion. This nets you two and you can repeat until you get
"infinity". |

Earthcraft
- Overgrowth - Recurring Nightmare |
 How
it works: Have any creature in play, and other in the graveyard. Put
Overgrowth on a swamp, giving you a land that is capable of producing
enough mana to play Recurring Nightmare on its own. Play Recur and bring
a creature out of the graveyard. Tap that creature to pay for
Earthcraft's ability, untapping the enchanted swamp. Repeat. Now alone, that combo does not
generate extra mana, and therefore isn't a mana engine per se. But if
one of the creatures you are Recurring is a Workhorse (an Exodus
artifact creature that can generate mana by removing counters from
itself), then you begin to net mana during each cycle. This combo
was found on and quoted from www.magicthegathering.com. |

Mana
Echoes - Sliver Queen |
  Does
this need explanation? With Sliver Queen, you can pay two
for a 1/1 sliver. Now you have (technically) two slivers in play..
so you can add mana to your mana pool from Mana Echoes (2). Then
you can use that mana to make another 1/1 Sliver with the Queen and add
3 mana to your pool with Echoes... You can keep doing this for "infinity" creatures.. or mana.. and then attack or cast a big fireball... whatever
works for you! |

Mana Echoes -
Pentavus / Thopter Squadron / Myr Matrix |
 This
is the new form of the "Atomic Kitten" deck. This combo will let you to have
"infinite" mana by bringing
pentavites into play, which activates the Mana Echoes ability. For
example, pay 1 mana to remove a +1/+1 counter, from Pentavus and add 1
mana to your mana pool from the echoes. Make another and add 2
mana, and then another to add 3 mana. This is cumulative.
Then, sacrifice one of the Pentavites and add a +1/+1 counter to the
Pentavus and repeat the actions from before. All of this equates
to "infinite" mana possibilities. This also works with Thopter
Squadron or Myr Matrix if you have at least 4 other Myr in play. |

Mana
Echoes - Mobilization - Skyshroud Elf |
 How
it works: With both enchantments in play and the elf, activate the
Mobilization. Assuming you have at least three other soldiers in
play, when the new 1/1 soldier token comes into play you add 3 mana to
your mana pool. Convert one of the mana to white and use that 3
mana to generate another token. This time you add 4 mana to your
mana pool. Repeat this process until you have the desired mana or
creatures in play. |
