Army of the Faithful. If you missed Cashew Week the week of 5.5.08 then you missed out on this deck. It's a Fallen Empires inspired white weenie deck including cards like Preacher, Order of Leitbur, Aeolipile and Icatian Infantry.  If you scroll down in his article you see the opposite of this deck by Tynion.  Be sure and check out the rest of the articles from Cashew's unofficial official Sarpadian Empires week. [Sorry today's Deck of the Day is late].

Sarpadian Empires, Vol VII: Appendix.
5/9/08 - In our final entry into the Sarpadian Empires, Vol III. we shall look more in-depth at individual places, people and things that made up the denizens of Sarpadia. The following are some familiar and not so familiar names and places. Perhaps the name came from one mere flavor text, or a mention in an obscure source, but regardless it made up the essence of Fallen Empires. I left out one major source as it's canon is highly suspect seeing as it involved dragons and lots of things never shown to be on Sarpadia, but I digress.

If you enjoy lore read on, if not read anyway. Cause baby, at the end there's a contest! ~Cashew~ Discuss Here.

Sarpadian Empires, Vol VII: Ch. 3 - Revival.
5/8/08 - Many thought the story of Fallen Empires ended with the advent of Ice Ages. The empires were in ruin, and Thrulls and Thallids ruled over Sarpadia as snow blanketed the land burying any remainder of the continent in the cold. Some creature lines continued on, but for many of the Sarpadian lines it was the end of their Age. That's how Wizards left Sarpadia in 1995, but its story interestingly continued in 2006 with Time Spiral... ~Cashew~ Discuss Here.

Sarpadian Empires, Vol VII: Ch. 2 - Conflict.
5/7/08 - Come brothers, hurry. War has come knocking upon our door on this foul night. Look across the ridge, across the barren moor into the foul presence of the swamp. Do you see their shadows against the pale light from the bad moon that plagues our sky? Even at this darkest hour the servants of Tourach gather... ~Cashew~ Discuss Here.
Featured Article:
Sarpadian Empires, Vol VII: Chapter 1 - Artistry.
5/6/08 - Today's chapter of the Sarpadian Empires is more a picture book than anything else. To truly understand a Magic set's flavor is much more than cards and a good story. The missing element that really ties everything together is the artwork. The artistry put onto each card tells far more story than a simple flavor text might—after all, a picture is worth a thousand words. ~Cashew~ Discuss Here.

Combo of the Day: Thran Turbine - Energy Vortex.
Sorry today's Combo of the Day is late.  In any event, these two cards are in my Top Twenty List (plug for future article series).  Thran Turbine was originally designed to feed Echo costs in the Urza's block.  It also feeds cards that have activation costs that can be used during your upkeep, like the one on Energy Vortex... [KEEP READING]

First Impressions: Shadowmoor - Green.
5/2/08 - Well, now that First Impressions Week is just about complete, it’s time to delve into the Green cards from Shadowmoor. ~hamsandwich~ Discuss Here.

Featured Article:
First Impressions: Shadowmoor - White.
5/1/08 - So, White cards, huh? New set, based on the last block? Okay, sure. I’m not going to do some giant introduction. That’s not what you’re here for. You’re here to see what I think of these cards. So, that said, let’s get down to business and see what’s going on here. ~Death_By_Beebles~ Discuss Here.

Featured Article:
First Impressions: Shadowmoor - Blue.
4/30/08 - Darkness falls, good to evil. Everything changes for the worse—but wait, what's happening? Blue has been looked at as one of the most evil colors for being so controlling. What happens when Blue goes more evil?  ~Ryuzaki~ Discuss Here.

New Poll: Which of the following should be the highest priority for MDV?
4/30/08 - I want to know -- as a member/visitor of MDV, which do you want to see more of...?  Which do you think holds the highest priority over the others?  Let me know by voting in this poll.  Thanks.  ~Streetz~ Discuss Here.

Featured Article:
First Impressions: Shadowmoor - Red.
4/29/08 - If you remember, I covered Red back in Morningtide.  And its wasn't so good. Let's see what Shadowmoor has to offer. Can it meet my personal standard, or does it fall short like Morningtide? ~Chris Newton~ Discuss Here.

Featured Article:
First Impressions: Shadowmoor - Black.
4/28/08 - Does Shadowmoor live up to the hype from the Rumor Mill? Is this what Magic has been missing for oh so long? Black is the color of endless night and Shadowmoor is its plane of existence. This set has been looked forward to by the Guild for quite a while now and expect no stone unturned from my views. ~MZ~ Discuss Here.

69 Decks Propagated...
4/28/08 - After three months of posting the decks I am finally propagating the deck database with these decks.  It is done as of this post.  Now I can concentrate on posting new decks.  I apologize it has taken so long to get this complete.  Thanks for visiting MDV!  ~Streetz~

First Impressions: Shadowmoor - Hybrid.
4/26/08 - Today we'll be looking at all the hybrid cards and there are quite lot. I'll try to keep it to a minimum so you don't get bored as there are quite a lot to cover...~Cashew~ Discuss Here.

Featured Article:
First Impressions: Shadowmoor - Artifacts and Lands.
4/25/08 - I really enjoyed Lorwyn and equally enjoyed Morningtide. Then again, I love Tribal. On the other hand, Shadowmoor has nothing to do with Tribal. In fact, it is the darker side of the Lorwyn we all came to love. Will this set shape up to be a good set? ~John Streetz~ Discuss Here.

Featured Article:
Memories of a Jarhead.
4/25/08 - Welcome to another exciting edition of Memories of an Old Magic Player. In this edition, we will be talking in depth about one of my favorite cards, Memory Jar. We will discuss theory, strategy, deck construction, and have plenty of tournament coverage from throughout the world… wait, where are you going? Of course we won’t talk about those things. This is "A Casual Site," remember? *sinister looking grin* I’ll see you inside…. ~CPN~ Discuss Here.
